apiro Stage is organised as a non-profit company. What we
earn flows back into new material, into people and into the
stage.
Working for the public benefit is at the core of what we do. We bring to
life stories that might otherwise stay undiscovered, and create
opportunities in the world of stage and culture.
Writers and composers
A new musical takes years to create. Book, music, versions,
workshop performances: this work does not finance itself.
We give writers and composers the time
and the means that an original piece needs.
Emerging talent
Young talents work with us on running productions, on
stage and behind it. Experience is gained where work is truly
being produced, not in practice situations.
Projects and formats
We support productions and events that benefit
music theatre in the German-speaking world as a whole, even when
they are not staged by us.

Official partner
Deutscher Musical Theater Preis
apiro Stage is an official partner of the Deutscher Musical Theater
Preis, the German Musical Theatre Award presented by the Deutsche
Musical Akademie. Every year the award honours the people on and
behind the stage who make musical theatre in the German-speaking
world so diverse. We know from our own experience what this
recognition can achieve: our first musical, „Himmel und Kölle“, won
in four categories and encouraged us to keep developing original
stories for the stage.
Supporting exactly this diversity and bringing it to the stage is what drives me and our team every single day.
